I've discovered that the camera (Olympus E500) I have, isn't good enough for me. I've made some good ones with it tho'. But every year, month, week or day your photographing skills takes a step to higher requirements. In my experience, Olympus E500 makes sharper pictures, but only in great light areas. If taking pictures in darker area without flash, pictures come out with a huge amount of noise. The noise comes out so easily, it can drive you crazy, 'cause it ruins good pictures.
Nikon beats it with the ability to make noise free pictures in dark scenes. Although the pictures aren't sharp enough.
So I'm struggling with this right now. Trying to make pictures with this Olympus and if possible, then borrow Nikon from a friend.
Pretty expensive hobby for me.
What's interesting is that if photographing with Manual settings - noise is everywhere. But when using this "Scene" setting (for example: "Beach Pictures"), there are no signs of noise. I've tried to set the same settings with Manual, but nothing changes. Am I doing something wrong, is the camera broken or it's just the camera... new camera is better anyways.

Bad art is more tragically beautiful than good art 'cause it documents human failure.
